Bobcat Tires
If you're looking for tires for your construction equipment, Bobcat offers a number of choices under their brand name. These tires are available through their worldwide network of authorized dealers, and they make a tire for nearly every job you might need to tackle!
There are three main classes that Bobcat uses to classify their brand of tires: Standard, Heavy Duty, and Severe Duty. They also make some specialized tires that were designed specially for equipment in specific conditions, such as wet-condition tires for compost yards, golf courses, and nurseries, and tires made for working on sand.
Of their typical product line, the Standard tires are the most affordable, and can be used in a variety of conditions. If you're not using your machinery extensively in terms of man-hours, and the terrain isn't particularly rough, the Standard tire is a good choice. It's the tire that comes standard when you buy a lightweight skid steer loader.
Bobcat Heavy Duty tires are definitely made for tougher projects and longer hours of equipment use. They come standard on many of the larger skid steer loaders, and are optional on some of the others. Another advantage of the Heavy Duty tires is that they are available for use with 'offset rims,' an option for reducing the width of the loader in a narrow space.
The Severe Duty tires by Bobcat are the toughest and most long-lasting of them all. They're perfect for rough terrain, in areas where extra traction is needed, and are used for the heaviest of equipment. If your loads are particularly heavy and will significantly add to the weight on the tires, the Bobcat Severe Duty tires are the ones to choose. If you are working in an area with a lot of glass and metal, these tires are durable--but for added solidity, you can also use poly-fill with the Severe Duty tires.
All of the Bobcat tires boast rim protection and bead guard to guard against damage caused by lateral blows, as well as especially thick side walls to prevent puncture.
Bobcat doesn't sell their tires directly from their manufacturing facility, nor can you get them from their website. However, if you go to the website, you can find a Bobcat dealer in your area that can get you any of the tires--and they'll have experts on hand that can give you the specs and recommendations for use.
